DIRECTIONS
From Somerset West / Grabouw
From Cape Town
- Take the N2 towards Grabouw, then continue towards Villiersdorp.
- Just before crossing the bridge over the Theewaterskloof Dam, turn right onto Draaiberg Road. This is the official detour around the road closure.
- Continue along Draaiberg Road until you reach the R43 T-junction.
- Turn left towards Worcester/Villiersdorp and follow the R43 around the Theewaterskloof Dam.
- At the R45 T-junction, turn left towards Franschhoek/Grabouw.
- Continue along the R45/R321 for approximately 5 km. The entrance to the farm will be on your left for access to Lake Lodge and on your right to access Mountain Eco Pods.
- Each Pod is located in a different place. Once through the steel gates, turn right and keep left and head up the mountain. Follow the signage to your unit.
Please pay close attention to Google Maps as you approach the farm. The entrance comes up quite quickly from this direction, and some of our roadside signage was unfortunately damaged during the recent storms.
From Franschhoek
NB: The Franschhoek Pass is currently closed for repairs after the May 2026 storm damage please do not drive this route.
From Villiersdorp/Hermanus
From the Hermanus/Caledon intersection head away from Villiersdorp towards Grabouw. Travel 5km. You will go up an incline, and shortly afterwards will see a gate and sign for Mountain Eco Pods to your right. Turn right and go through the entrance and continue straight up. For the Leda Pod (four sleeper) you will see a sign come up on your right, where you will turn and continue on that road until you reach the eco pod. For the Luna Pod (two sleeper) go past the sign for Leda Pod indicating right and you will see a sign to your left indicating where your eco pod is. Turn left and you will park just below the eco pod.
