DIRECTIONS

From Somerset West/Grabouw

From Cape Town

  1. Take the N2 towards Grabouw, then continue towards Villiersdorp.
  2. Just before crossing the bridge over the Theewaterskloof Dam, turn right onto Draaiberg Road. This is the official detour around the road closure.
  3. Continue along Draaiberg Road until you reach the R43 T-junction.
  4. Turn left towards Worcester/Villiersdorp and follow the R43 around the Theewaterskloof Dam.
  5. At the R45 T-junction, turn left towards Franschhoek/Grabouw.
  6. Continue along the R45/R321 for approximately 5 km. The entrance to the farm will be on your left for access to Lake Lodge and on your right to access Mountain Eco Pods.
  7. Turn down the farm road and head towards the dam. Follow the signage to Lake Lodge.

Please pay close attention to Google Maps as you approach the farm. The entrance comes up quite quickly from this direction, and some of our roadside signage was unfortunately damaged during the recent storms.

From Franschhoek

 NB: The Franschhoek Pass is currently closed for repairs due to the May 2026 storm damage. 

From Villiersdorp/Hermanus

From the Hermanus/Caledon intersection head away from Villiersdorp toward Grabouw. travel 5km. Pass the turn to the left for Theewaterskloof cruises, then the main turn to Tweefontein farm and 100m on is the turn to Lake Lodge. Head down the farm road for about 1 km, veering right at the dam with lily pads.
